Introduction
Eating a whole fruit is more beneficial than fruit juices.
Therefore, I’m recommending smoothies for anyone who would like to drink your fruit in a cup yet more beneficial than juicing.
Why smoothie is better than juice?
It:
• maintains the fiber that slows sugar absorption
• has been pulverized but the fiber still helps to slow down the absorption of fructose, which is the sugar in the fruit.
• doesn’t cause a spike in blood sugar as much as juice, which cause the biggest spike. In this aspect, eat the fruit as a whole is still better than smoothie and juice
• doesn’t oxidize as fast as juice
• maintains the majority of their nutrients for longer period of time
• makes you feel fuller
• can be made it into a meal by adding other ingredients such as avocado, nuts or milk
Making your own smoothie is healthier as store-bought smoothie has added sugar and they are mostly super-sized.
To have smoothie as an healthy beverage, make sure you do not have an all-fruit smoothie but rather, have one with a good mix of fruit and vegetable.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practice, drinking a glass of hot or warm water helps to kick-start your digestive system because its temperature aids in blood flow that further helps to detoxify your body and reduce contractions of muscles.
TCM practice explains that the normal internal body temperature is 98.6°F (37°C), which keeps a smooth blood flow in tune with normal body functions. When drinking cold water, the internal body temperature gets interrupted. And, iced water causes the fat in food to get clogged in the stomach. Your body must consume more energy to make up for a drop in temperature in order to maintain the regular operation of organs. If the body is too weak to warm up itself, some symptoms will appear, such as a contraction, indigestion, and thrombus.
Therefore, these 4 powerful hot smoothie recipes aim to provide the benefits of smoothie and TCM practice.
Wishing you good health!
Cheers!
